Samosa

Ingredients

for 20 servings time 30 minutes

FILLING

  • 1 lb ground beef / turkey(500 g)
  • 4 medium size red onion, diced
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Habanero pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 cup frozen peas(150 g), defrosted

WRAPPER

  • Eggroll wrapper or spring roll wrappers— Best from Walmart

 

Preparation

  • In a large pan over medium-high heat, add minced garlic and  sliced habanera and the add, the ground beef. Use a spatula to break apart the meat and cook for 3 minutes or until no more redness in the meat..
  • Add the Peas and carrots and salt and cook for 4 minutes.  Taste the meat to decide the desired heat and remove the habanera
  • Add onions and cook until soft – do not over cook
  • Add, coriander, black pepper, cumin, and Garam masala to the meat. Cook for 2 minutes until the meat sizzles
  • Drain in a colander and let it cool.  (Never stuff with hot meat)
  • Shape the wrappers and fill them. Seal them and deep fly.

Always cover your wrapper with tea clothe

Invest on a good food brush to wet the wrappers.
